tuts for lightwave

i am looking for tutorials on how to model in lightwave specifically a tut on modeling guns, or a tut of a technique that is very effective in mdling guns.
 
i dont have any but nice to see another lightwave modeler :D
 
thanks for the link, is there neway to import 3ds or xsi files into lightwave.
 
not directly but you can use Milkshape to import a .3ds and export a .lwo.
 
well that seems like too much process going through another prog just to get it into lw.
 
Err, you just load the .3ds object into modeler, and its loaded.

Unless its .max format.. then you need Deep Exploration (But even that isn't 100% successful) Max format = suckage, incompatible bullshit.


But you should be using wavefront .obj format to keep the UV's intact.


As for dotxsi format.. Use a dotxsi loader. Though again, .obj format is much better for this sort of thing.
 
if you have it in .max then get some1 who has 3ds max to load it and export it as a .3ds.
