TV is ludicrous

TV is awesome. Diagnosis murder is on channel 1 right now. DIAGNOSISSSSSS MURDER.

Then Countdown (with new presenter Des Lynam) will be on around 15:30, then the new Noel Edmonds show will be on around 16:30. Then RICHARD & JUDY is on at 17:00. Then later on I could watch a repeat of Lost or Six Feet Under or something on E4 at 23:00, then after that Porn: A Family Business.

On Friday night I can watch Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, or The Frank Skinner Show. And on Saturday night I can watch The X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing (for the hawt female dancers).

Then I can download episodes of Rome, Prison Break and Lost then spend ages watching those.

Then I can watch any movies that get put on by some of the channels (Total Recall was on last night)

Then before summer I'll pass the 2nd year of my course then become a freelance illustrator/graphic designer/website designer and rake in loads of money to spend on a larger TV with more channels.

TV rules.

Seriously, end of argument in my humble opinion.

yeah, I haven't played video games for a while either and I think they're a waste of time as well. What good is going to come to the world if everyone just decides to sit on their asses and do nothing. if you want something great to happen in our world, you can't just wait for some other guy to do it. You got to jump off your ass and sieze the day. T.v and games give you no reason to sieze the day, plus they are boring as hell compared to most things.
Which is why you are a memeber of a gaming forum?

Edit: Most games are bad, most books are bad, most paintings are bad. You don't buy those ones so don't watch that television.

TV does actually the opposite of what you say lost. If TV suddenly dissapeared the economy would have a significant crash and millions of jobs would suddenly be lost. The advertising alone on television directly influence the economy...ads make us buy staff...ads put artists and marketing PR people in work. Thats a lot of jobs you would be cutting off. Not only that but the revenue companies make in return for advertising on television and the revenue the producing companies would lose from no advertisements is also insane.

Now I know what your gonna say next "well if TV never even came we would deal without it". Yes we would deal without it but our "western civilization" as you know it would be so far behind economically it would almost take us back to the 1900's where life was all working in the factories with maybe 5% of americans holding white collar jobs. It would be pathetic and we would be weak and lacking in culture as a civilization.

Not only that but yes TV does stimulate our minds, it helps us relax, it makes us laugh, it makes us think, it makes us come together even. Above all its the freedom to entertain ourselves however we want and if watching TV does it for us then why not.

YOU LOSE! :imu:
