Has anyone noticed how god awfully bad TV has been lately?

Big Brother on C4 the whole time and some crappy drama on ITV1...
and the BBC channels hardly have anything decent on either.

What happened to the TV? D:

The footy season has started, so TV is heaps better now.

Rescue Me is the one show to watch this summer.

TV is always piss poor with the occasional shining light :(

Lost seems to have got dull but then again, the one on Tuesday was actually good for once :O Maybe the next few shall be good aswell.

Get the Firefly Season 1 Boxed Set.

And then watch it 42 times, and then weep.

Tuesday is the day I look forward to most because of the E4 episode of Lost, then I just look through the Radio Times for films. Chasing Amy is on tomorrow, then Heat is on Saturday I think. But other than films, there isn't much else I watch. Well, there is new Scrubs aswell tonight on E4, but yeah.

The best was a few months ago, when it'd be Invasion on Sunday, Prison Break on Monday then Lost on Wednesday.

Oh dear god don't even get me started on the god-awful f*cking American sitcoms that keep poaring onto our channels. I mean no offense, but you guys just churn out this shit.

Edit - Oh, but I started watching Prison Break again, and DAMN it's getting spicy. So <3 you guys for that :3 (but no spoilers or I keel you)

there's always a few diamonds amongst the piles of shit, but you're mostly right ..american tv sucks donkey balls for the last 5 years or so ..I blame short attention spans: No room for quality like seinfeld (oh dear god it might actually make you think) when it's much easier to just watch some idiotic "reality" show

last night I was flipping channels when I ran into some MTV show about insanely rich teens going shopping ..seriously wtf is that? who watches this crap? what ****ing utterly dull and insipid idiotic programming meant to appeal to equally dull/insipid/idiotic viewers ..after a few minutes of channel flipping (70% being some form of "reality" show) I watched a british sitcom for awhile ..dont know what it was callled but most of the cast were elderly and it was actually funny ..after the loud bleating noisy excuse for programming that is now the norm on american tv, I found the brit show to be a refreshing change ..tonight I'm going to look for more brit comedy

Lost and 24 are over and I seem to have seen every episode of Mythbusters so they're not much good on except QI.

Oh, that said about shitty US sitcoms, I still watch Friends cuz it has it's moments and it's eaaaaaasy watching.

Athletics is on tonight at 7 until 9. We'll actually win races since it's a British only event. Sweet.

I don't get what's wrong with reality TV. It's just cool to hate it I guess.

I like that American Choppers show, except I can only watch it by downloading it...

I actually thought TV was getting better lately. Ever since Survivor came into existance, there's been hundreds of reality shows cropping up all over the place. Those were terrible times.

Fortunately there's been less reality shows and more scripted television returning to television. I've noticed that networks aren't interested in trying to beat Survivor anymore. Now they're trying to beat shows like LOST and 24.

I'd happily trade in reality shows for the dramas that are coming out. All we need now is for some well-written comedies to make their return and television should be back to the way it was before the millenium.

HBO guys:D, almost all of the series ive seen on that channel rule.

LOST is the only good thing on network TV right now.

Haha, us Irish get Lost weeks before you silly brits. Of course us silly-dialupers get it a year later than the people with broadband :P
