Hey I'm looking for a tv for my apartment. Me and my roommate were going to split the cost. Were looking in the $500-600 range and hoping for a screen size of atleast 32 inches. What would be my best bet? A retail store or somewhere like newegg? plasma/lcd tvs, btw

I got a 32 inch Sony Bravia 720p for my mum for Christmas and it's pretty decent, although she still doesn't have an HD source to really put it through its paces so I can't tell how good it really is. Handles SD well though.

Here it is on Amazon - more or less, anyway, I'm unsure whether it was the M4000 series or what. Bit cheaper than your minimum so maybe you could go for a higher screen size.

AVS Forum is a good place to ask.

at my walmart, the 42" Vizio LCD is running at $598. we're the only location that has them that cheap

Early this year I bought a Panasonic 42 inch 720P Plasma for 650 bucks. A friend of mine has a Sony Bravia 1080P 42inch LCD and the image quality on it is TERRIBLE compared to my TV's

This thing is excellent. I highly recommend it.

I believe the model is something like 42px80u or something like that. Look for it, its a great TV and its right in your budget.

Good suggestions guys. I'll keep them all in mind before I make a purchase. Thanks
