Uanable to Load Authentication Library "0x2421b227"

I've played garry's mod on this computer before, but I unistailled steam a few months ago, and I wanted to start back up. When I went to join a multiplayer game, I was unable to, and I recieved two errors.

I've read on several sites that some users are having this problem. On this site, a user was unable to load HL2, and they were given an Steam Authentication address to validate the game files.

Is there a way to validate GMod files? Garry's mod runs fantastically in single player, but when I try to connect to a server, my client information is never sent. When I try to create my own server, I get the authentication error.

Garry said that this was a problem with Steam, but I am able to play all of my other games online. On all of the other sites, the methods used to resolve those issues were fairly simple like updating graphics drivers, which I have done; the problem was not resolved. None of the other sites have given a solution that has worked.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? I was going to purchase GMOD10, but I cannot ensure that it will work given the current situaiton.

Ive got that error as well, "Unable to Load Authentication Library "0x2421b227"" its only Garys mod that has these two errors.... I think its steam telling us to buy Gary's Mod 10..
I was going to buy it as well but i carnt buy it only on-line i need a master card or somthing.. Can you buy it in a store.

Away to obtain a copy of garrys mod 10 Online, is to goto one of your local banks. Have 10-20 dollars ready and purchase a "PRE PAYED" credit card. and use that for you purchase on steam. Meny Kids under 18-16 use that method as they can't have or don't have a income for a credit card.
