Ubisoft Reworking Splinter Cell Conviction? not ready until 2010?

Heh, I thought Assassin's Creed might put a bit of pressure on it. Not that AC set the bar high or anything, but the last Conviction gameplay I saw looked pretty abysmal.

You know, the idea of crowd stealth is fine, but I don't see why they have to discard classic stealth (shadows) to make it work. I mean, wouldn't it be better for having both if they could somehow work in unison? For example, if Assassin's Creed had a day/night cycle it could alternate between them, with slinking through crowds and trying to blend in during the day for want of shadows, and slinking through shadows and trying to remain unseen during the night for want of a crowd. Or are shadows just not "next-gen" anymore? (Could've fooled me)

Hopefully they'll be going back to the proper stealth of Chaos Theory with shadows and the like. I thought the trailer for this looked shit, apart from the fighting. I guess they've listened.

if its anything like chaos theory, it'll be miiiiint because in my opinion, double agent failed

I am surprised at the denial considering this game has gone unheard of for nearly a year or something like that.

Man, E3 is going to have it's hands full this year. Lots of updates wanted and even more new news wanted!! I would love to see an updated build of this just to see where it's going....

I hope ubi at least say something about this at the ubi event next week cos it's getting ridiculous around this game :|

I really hope they don't delay it. I was rather looking forward to this title. Ubisoft Montreal ftw!

I'd be willing to wait until 2010 for a proper Ubisoft Montreal SC title...

But since it's false, I guess I won't have to

It probably won't come out till 2009 anyway judging from how things are going

Ive played all the Splinter Cell's and for me Double Agent was the best, but this

seems like the best idea at the moment. Getting rid of shadow gameplay would be a big mistake, its what made Splinter Cell, but daytime stealth aspects would be pretty cool too.

Well I enjoyed it, as I enjoyed them all, maybe because Double Agent is the most recent that I say I enjoyed that one the most, I cant really place the majority of the previous games as I played them yonks ago.

Chaos Theory is my favorite, Double Agent was all...meh

I liked DA, it was good, but not really the best. I do need to buy CT.

I liked DA too, but I do like CT the best still. Glad to see they decided to work on it more.

I liked Da but i still think it is probably my least favourite whereas CT sits easily at the top of the pile :)

Guys, you have to remember which DA you talk about, DA on the 360 and PC were made by Ubi Shanghai, DA on the XB1 and PS2 was the true DA, made by Ubi Montreal(The people behind SC1, SCCT.)

Quite alot, especially gameplay wise, SCDA on the XB1 was far closer to CT gameplay wise, and had a better story with fewer plotholes.

I own both and have completed both versions so I know this by experience.
