Yep, we're finally at that nirvana point of cool shit in technology!

....I see a tank, how is it invisible.. but if it were invisible.. and they took a picture of it.. how could you prove it was there?!!?!

A real invisible tank!

Also, that was a terrible photoshop job. Absolutely awful.

Brilliant, Krynn, How much did you think that tank cost?

bout tree fiddy. ima go pick one up right now from Albertsons.

I forgot to put the pic in for the added effect but it's in now. Looks 'shopped but it's not. :O

Great, more weapons to persue an illegal war...

Am I the only person who fails to see any significant military benefit to an invisible tank? I mean really, you'd have to be an idiot to not notice it.

Yes.

I mean do you really think it would be like in that badly photoshopped picture. An Invisible Tank speeding across the battlefield throwing dust everywhere. If they were stupid enough to do that, invisible or not it would be spotted and destroyed.

Think of this as an armored version of a sniper. A few cloaked tanks on a hill top, an armored convoy approaching. The stealth tanks fire and destroy the entire convoy before they even knew what hit them.

I've been selling invisible tanks to the Irish for decades. I don't think they've twigged anything yet.
It's why you don't see so much of the IRA these days. Half of them are still walking around a field with their arms out, looking for their tanks.

they had been working on something like that for soldiers a long time ago, but it was too heavy. The idea actually came from when a general watched the movie predator

Infrared vision - makes cloaking useless.

That's why you create a cooling system to fight the infrared system.
Generally the idea is not to stay perfectly invisible as they go by you, but to gain an advantage by surprise via ambush. Like the sniping convoy of tanks idea.

Pff, thats nothing. We've got a whole battalion of invisible jets, tanks, striders, Chuck Norrises and Mechs.

Are you serious? It IS shopped. Even the caption says its "what it might look like."

But seriously, how can you not tell from the pixels?!

Guess what?

NOD Has acctually set up a whole base, its invisible. I heard theres a country there.

Imagine standing in the middle of a deserted area and then finding yourself run over by an invisible tank.

Simply because I do not have Photoshop with me, or my graphics tablet as I'm on a work computer...

With headphones on. Blaring white noise.

Hey, I don't judge you for what you do in your spare time.

Well the article surprised me because it was linked from 4chan! :cheese: Who knows but the UK claims that they have the tech now.

Also, it says you have to looking at it from the right angle for you to not see it, due to how the cameras have to be arranged, so even if it were invisible, you would only not see it for a short time before you get a different perspective on it and can see it clear as day.

Still it's invisible even without camo. That in itself is a feat. ;)

Hey! Don't dis' Osama's invisible base! I've been there!

I can see how invisile tanks would be effective in the War on Terror

To be fair, I doubt they are developed for the war on terror. The WoT is americas things, the british are just being dragged along by their noses.

Hool, great photoshop.

Second, great mistitle. That's not a british tank in the picture -- its a Merkava, an Israeli Tank, and to be more accurate it is a Merkava Mark III.
