Unable to bind arrow keys in all HL games!

Hey guys, I am not able to bind the arrow keys in all my Half-Life games now! I use the arrow keys for movement controls because
I can't stand using WASD... Now my CS and DoD won't let me use the arrow keys to move... Anyone know whats wrong? I tried changing keyboards and it still won't let me use the arrow keys...

i just tried it in HL (the steam version) and it let me bind my arrow keys just fine...

i had the same problem while using PS2 keyboard

i can't bind arrow keys in any game (i tried XIII demo...)

when i plugged my keyboard to USB they started working again,

it could be some kind of DirectInput problem but i cannot say when it first appeared so i don't know which application/ windows update/ driver causes this problem

No idea what's up I'm afraid.
