Unable To Log In

I cannot log in to a web site even though my password and log in name is right. FF stored it and I never logged out. Didn't delete my cookies. Checking my passwords, I've confirmed it is correct.

I am unable to request help since I can't log in. I'm unable to create a new account since my email is in use already.

I've disabled FF add-ons that might interfere and such, it just keeps saying that my username and/or password is incorrect, but they aren't. I tried about 20 times retyping them.

Any ideas what causes this?

The only thing I can think of is to create a new email address and new account with it, but then I can't access any of my stuff on the site. Who's to say it won't happen again.

I have a feeling it's something I have installed but don't know what. I disabled flash block, ref control, and script block.

Yeah, I was frustrated and figured it would just give me a new password but still wouldn't work or something. I should have tried it anyway. You know how it is when things go wrong you don't try the obvious.

Well, lets see if it works.

The site was the mozilla personas log in.


EDIT: nope, I reset the password - it still won't let me log in.

EDIT:Tried it again, still won't work. It's stupid because I never logged out in the first place. And it remembers me. I had the 'remember me' box ticked in the first place. If I begin to type my username it fills in the rest and the password, but they don't ****ing work.

oh, that's a good ****ing idea. Especially since--now that I think about it--the only thing that changed since I joined is that I uninstalled Google Chrome. Might have ****ed up some reg value or setting.

Yeah, I figured it's possible. Seems strange.

I've had problems with sites on rare occasion in the past, using this computer. This XP install is a few years old. No telling what all little things I've changed here and there. I'll try it on another computer later.

I'm assuming you've gone under Tools, Options, Security tab, and Saved Passwords to remove the saved username/pw that FF is remembering.

well it asks to change it when I change it so that shouldn't matter, I don't think.

Anyway, I typed it in by hand countless times.
