Uninstall leaves Valve directory?

Finished HL2 a couple of weeks ago - I should say, "f-f-f-finished" - I uninstalled Steam and then HL2 through the Windows pgm uninstaller, and it left a 4gb Valve directory on my HD.

Can I assume I screwed this up? Should I just whack the folder altogether - if so, are there any other folders I need to dispose of?

What about HL2/Steam/Valve garbage left in my registry?

Sorry - I'm still on a 20 gb C drive, and I'd like the space for another game or three....

Thanks.

you must not like hl2 that much, surely space used for hl2 is space used well! if you don't want hl2 or steam could you e-mail me your account?

(i'll just asume no, nvm, and i don't now how to help you, sorry)

if ya deside to help someone that dont got hl2 yet, it's [email protected]

Wow, uninstalling HL2 is dumb. What about all the upcoming mods?
HL2 was the first drop.
The Mods are the Storm.

I liked it fine. I finished it. I want to play something else.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

just delete the valve folder, unless you are using steam for other games. in that case, you'll have to delete the half-life 2 folder and the gcf's that relate to hl2.

minerel, if he doesn't want to play them, fine, just leave him alone and don't call him 'dumb.'
