I was headed back to my room when I saw a baby snake slithering into my bedroom doorway. I didn't recognize the type and I was very concerned it was venomous.

Regardless, I don't want a snake living in my house.

Knowing I had to act fast before he finds a place to hide under the furniture, I grabbed a piece of wood and approached him. He started slithering sideways. I thought - WTF, a sidewinder?

So he made it to where I rest my feet under my desk, but then I chopped him in half with the heavy piece of wood.

I had never killed a snake before and I wasn't aware that he would stay alive for a long time. 30 minutes later, his tail was still moving and he was still trying to bite. I don't see any fangs though.

Maybe someone can help me identify it.
