Not ever wanting to be one of those unhelpful people that just tells people to "google it", our forum member Atari, handily sent me all this information worked out for you:

I think he's a computer :borg: He's here because MIT is testing new AI software. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go replace my tinfoil hat, and the man that lives in my thumb is acting up again.

11am PST = 3:30am (GMT + 9.5) South Australia time
And the cost in Australian dollars for the Bronze package at the moment is $69

It ain't hard, just search google fora currency converter.

So are Valve.

Currently, both locations are in summer time, so it's alright.

Hi iam from Slovakia , how can i recieve that gold package, must i pay for a deliver or what?
And how do i know that i recieve the whole package without any problems or lost things ? is there any quarantee that i recieve and undamaged package?

For da Swedes

Bronze
361,82 SEK

Silver
436,68 SEK

Gold
650,56 SEK

Not impressed, really

Well, I've got to say I'm not that impressed.

In the UK you can get the game on DVD for £26.99 delivered, and have the advantage of having an official DVD, and a manual.

Buy the bronze edition over Steam and you pay £28, and have you write your own DVD backup.

Now I know the UK RRP is £39.99 and only some retailers manage to sell if for as little as £26.99, but surely Valve could drop their prices too?

And you lose your UK consumer rights too.

For example, if you Steam Key was accidentally banned you would not have a problem with UK retail version because you could just take it back to the shop and demand another copy (as this one does not work) under The Sale Of Goods And Services Act; whereas with Steam version and US consumer protection laws, which probably are not applicable to non-US citizens (unless they launch court case in USA), you will be at Valves mercy to decide whether it was an "accident" that your key was banned.

StooMonster

Remember these prices are excluding VAT. If you live in the UK or Ireland you need to add VAT to that price. Same will go for other VAT countries.

It's amazing how different money figures out to be, if someone told me my game was 10,000 dollars i'd freak out. Doesnt that get difficult for you guys though if say you buy a car and need two armored trucks full of money just to pay for it?

I assume/hope that the cost of the bronze will be subtracted from any upgrades to Silver or Gold if we allready have an ATi key.

ok ok ok im crapping myself lol. does this mean that cs:s will be available NOW, and when exactly can we buy in the uk????????

no i meant the ACTUAL time. is it 3pm gmt???? (7am gmt '+ 8 hrs')

So what time will that be in The Netherlands? (western europe)

http://steampowered.com/index.php?area=news says 11am PST.

Surely people can work out timezones themselves, it's really not that difficult...

$ date -d "11:00 PDT"
Thu Oct 7 19:00:00 BST 2004

$ TZ=Europe/Amsterdam date -d "11:00 PDT"
Thu Oct 7 20:00:00 CEST 2004

*Edit, doh, PDT, not PST. *Edit 2, I blame Valve for not understanding timezones and quoting the release time in the wrong timezone :)

113$ Canadian???? :( so I have a voucher, does that subtract the bronze price from the gold? so when I purchase I get like 60 dollars off? Thanks

Ok. some noob questions i guess... But still:

1. What's the difference between bronze, silver or gold ?
2. I don't get it. Is it really TODAY (thur) it's relese. Can I buy it in stores or it is just the steam purchase that is avalible?

So we have to add VAT to the price, if we live in a EU contry?

sh1t...

here are as follows..

Belgium
21%
Czech Republic
19%
Denmark
25%
Germany
16%
Estonia
18%
Greece
18%
Spain
16%
France
19,6%
Ireland
21%
Italy
20%
Cyprus
15%
Latvia
18%
Lithuania
18%
Luxembourg
15%
Hungary
25%
Malta
18%
Netherlands
19%
Austria
20%
Poland
22%
Portugal
19%
Slovenia
20%
Slovak Republic
19%
Finland
22%
Sweden
25%
United-Kingdom
17,5%

that would make:

Bronze
452.28 SEK

Silver
545.85 SEK

Gold
813.20 SEK

Have i got this right? the gold just turned into a rather exspensive product... and a standard price for bronze and silver, i must admit i´d hoped for a much lesser price, when not buying a physical product.
