The sprint mode was already used in a mod for HL1 (MasterSword)!
You had to press the forward key twice and it started sprinting! It was quite easy to use!
The only reasonable upgrades would be:
-A forcefield or something
-Movement enhancer (run, jump)
-A teleportation unit ((of course it would be scripted (HL1 had teleporters), but it's highly unlikely we'll be seeing this upgrade))
-hmm...thats about it
Sorry but jetpacks would never work! Although it would be quite amusing fighting a strider with a jetpack!
