Updates?

Ok i finally got my single player working offline,and i looks and runs great now i want to go online and play but i have 56k cant DSL were i live, but when i go to play online it starts updating but since i have 56K it takes like 400 mins, and i just get kicked off before it finishs so i cant get thye update, is there a way i can get the update quicker or play without it????


any help would be great!

no, you have to be up to date.

The game your playing needs to be exactly the same as the game other people are playing otherwise it'd screw everything up.

Don't worry about it disconnecting you during the update, it's very intelligent and will always pick up from exactly where it left off

So intelligent in fact, that it will make your breakfast for you as well, after a hard night's downloading

Unfortunately there is no faster method at the moment - you will have to dl all the updates. Tis the world 2day, broadband is rather important for Steam.
