Upgrade priority: ???

I currently have a Radeon 9700 Pro, a 2.2ghz Athlon processor, 1.5 gigs of ram, and loads of harddrive space. Which would cause the greatest increase (in fps/performance) for the least amount of money: a processor upgrade or a new vid card?

I've always wondered if there's a way to tell if one of these components is causing a bottleneck.

upgrading the graphics card will give you the most FPS increase. I dont think its going to be cheap though cause you would either have to get a 9800 or an x800. IMO it wouldnt be worth getting a 9800 if you have a 9700.

Just to be sure do you mean that your cpu is 2.2 ghz or a 2200?
