So, do you play any browser-based MMOs? I've started playing Urban Dead again recently and I justed signed up to OGame in universe 7.

Urban Dead sucks. Nexus War is much, much more awesome. I never could get into Ogame.

I was on Cybernations for a bit, then my internet connection went down for a few days and when it came back my account had been deleted due to inactivity. Never bothered going back to it.

You can have 3 characters (I have a level 7 mortal, a level 17 Shepherd and a level 10 Myrmidon). It's awesome.

I'll join you, Ennui. Is it one of those games where you can just pick up for an hour, and then leave? I mgiht play while slacking off in my T.A. class in typing. (Which I am in now! hohohoho!)

Why universe 7?

I'm in ogame and pretty well established in universe 5. I'm ranked like 770 and I haven't had any help from anybody. And i'm dropping a few rank points every day(which is good). My goal is to be number 1 of course! But that won't happen, because the other people in this universe have been around so much longer than me.

The game has taken over my life, seriously. My OCD is terrible with this game.

It recommended universe 7 or 37 as I was signing up. I assumed that's because they're fewer players / more low-level players on them. I just went along with it.

I'm in the same boat as Raz, except for the "doing good part" and the "taken over my life".

I can't play it a lot every day, it gets boring fast for me. But I take my time on things, and usually get beaten down a whole lot by enemies. But Raz has helped me out a ton, and am very grateful :D

I'm an old vet of Ogame and quit a long time ago. That game is very evil. Uni 1 is the way to go.

I'm thinking of dropping CyberNations. The game completely relies on other people, or it just depends too much of trades that people keep dropping. Uhg. Sucks, 'cause my nation's one year anniversary just came up.

You know... honestly? I'd say it is indeed quite a boring game. You have to be like me and become obsessive about it for it to really be fun. And I haven't even waged war yet

I quit Cybernations. I was in an alliance, who waged war with and pissed off a large alliance, and by pure association with them(despite the fact I wasn't really participating in anything... I was put on a permanent zero infrastructure list. I played that game for a god damn year, and was in the top 1000.

<sigh> One thing that sucks about that game is the ability for people to completely ruin your experience. If enough of them want to keep attacking you, there's nothing you can do. You have to start over with a new anonymous nation. Lame.

It's less of an MMO, but it's a browser based PvP called Duels.

if you are interested in signing up, I do need a bit of help getting a "Badge of Leadership" (getting 2 or more people to join under your name.
so if you can help me out- join here-

sorry if its too spammy, everybody I ask says no, its its for a quest too....:(

Ogame is pretty cool, but once you play it for a little while and get up in the ranks it will start to take over your life. It's takes a lot of planning and strategy to keep yourself alive and several months of work can be obliterated within seconds in Ogame. It makes you paranoid. I used to play it.

I just joined Urban Dead. Someone can help me out later.

BTW: Looking forward to the site in my sig. Check it out.

If you're a human, always try to find a building that's very strongly barricaded to stay in before you log off, preferably one with some other people in it, but be warned; hospitals, police stations, malls and NT buildings are prime targets for zombie attacks.

If you're a zombie you best chance of surviving is to find a horde and stay in it. There's safty in numbers. A lone zombie is an easy target for a high level human but if you're in a horde of 20, there's only a slight chance you'll get attacked.

I'm screwed, i couldn't find a building before i ran out of points. And why is it that every time i attack a zombie i miss? every time?!?!?!?

Used to play Runescape - "LOL"!

Wow, that takes me back *nostalgia*

Cos you is crap.

You know how to find a resurrection point?

Don't worry, the hour I joined, I became a zombie.:hmph:

Look at your chance to hit. The default for humans in 10%, and you can be amazed the miss streaks you can get with 10%. The law of averages falls appart in the presense of Urban Dead. Seriously, unless you already have combat skills you shouldn't even bother trying to attack zombies. Starting off is the hardest part of the game. Unless you're a fireman or a scientist gaining your first few levels can be tough, but stick at it.

Back on the missing; the game might also think that you're cheating. If the game detects two characters in the same are belonging to the same person (ie, the same IP address or whatever) it will deploy anti-cheating methods to stop them from working together. This gives you about a 1% chance of hitting with any attack or finding anything in a search.

But the game can sometimes think you are, apparently. Especially if you're using a proxy or AOL. You picked medic? That's what I picked first too, then I discovered that it is the absolute worst starting class. Yeah. Urban Dead is bumby starting off.

:p
Meh. What is this shit? All I did was unload all my pistol ammunition on a zombie, taking it to about 1/4 of it's health, then ran into a building and searched around, found naught, and fell asleep. :|

If you want to shell out some money: www.dreamlords.com. People from my Uni are working on it and it's a combination of RTS and web-based MMOs. I havent played it or anything, but it might be worth a look.
