well today's the day when the US decides who will be the next president so lets have our own election. Even though the outcome will be strongly pro obama it'll be interesting to see how we voted based on our pov as well as where we're from

Just got back from voting. Voted McCain for President and Libertarian down the rest of the ballot

Thank god you live in AZ so your vote doesn't really matter. :) I'm in NM so mine actually does, usually our state is decided by less than 1,000 votes.

AZ race was getting tightened so that's the only reason I voted McCain- can't risk Obama winning this state. I would've liked to have been able to confidently vote for Barr but the poll results in the past week made that not an option.

I'm happy to have voted against Joe Arpaio (racist republican sheriff of Maricopa county)

Libertarian law enforcement FTW

I am registered in Texas, but live in Pennsylvania. I got here too late to register here, and I'm too lazy to fill out a pointless absentee ballot.

Holy crap, I didn't see how close the race in AZ actually was. Last time I checked I remember Obama 10 points down, now it's down to 5. I guess you learn something new every day. :)

I'm American and voted Obama today.

Libertarianism is such an unfortunate fad.

A lot better than the republican fad. At least libertarians are consistant.

I guess. But Libertarianism basically means the government should be involved in nothing other than foreign wars.

What about the "I am American but am not old enough to vote but would have supported McCain" option.

I picked not old enough.

but you dont count ;) ...I had to lump them all together

Can't believe it's come down to today, the American's among us keep us updated through the night in this thread as things go along :D

Seriously, how hard is it to produce a machine that can display a ballot and record the choices in a secure fashion? For the amount of money that companies land for these contracts, the incompetence they always show is staggering - and it's always allowed to pass because of the culture of technological ignorance fostered by our elected officials.

Can't wait until my generation and the generation behind me starts to assume power in the next few decades, so that once in a while some ICT stuff might happen in the public sector without being a shambolic screwup.

I don't see why we just use paper ballots. Been using em for hundreds of years.

I'm an American (in AZ) and I early voted for Obama. Curious to see how close the race ends up here.

I'm not american but I would have voted for Obama, I'm glad to see that most people have the common sense to not vote for McCain.

im also underaged.

Lol, only one vote for McCain out of 33 cast. I'm starting to wish the world could participate in our elections.

A couple of friend and me are staying up till dawn to watch how the election progresses.

well seeing how the last 2 elections went, trust me we wish we could vote as well :)

save you from yourselves and all that

I voted early on the 25th.

Voted for Obama of course.

I bet that regardless of who wins, there will be accusations of voting fraud or rigging. Seeing as that there are varying reports of wonky voting machines not counting votes, switching votes... or people not being on the voting registry or having not received a ballot.

I have half a brain and don't hate black people. I voted Obama!

What I want to know is why do we continue allowing companies who obviously write shitty programs get the chance to develop this most important software. Other than the security measures, the voting aspect of the program should be easy as **** and there should never be any possible switching of votes, period.

Voted obama. First time voting, fast and easy process over here.

i'd vote for Obama if I was American. He's clearly the good guy, and McCain is the archvillain.

I havent voted yet, but I am going to vote for the Socialist Pig when I get off work.

Voted for Obama in North Carolina's early voting a week or two ago.

I can imagine the comic for it now: THE ADVENTURES OF OBAMAMAN AND HIS TRUSTY SIDEKICK THE TELEPROMPTER! NOW WITH MORE PIE!
