Sunday Telegraph article

Funding for their separatist causes comes directly from the CIA's classified budget but is now "no great secret", according to one former high-ranking CIA official in Washington who spoke anonymously to The Sunday Telegraph.

His claims were backed by Fred Burton, a former US state department counter-terrorism agent, who said: "The latest attacks inside Iran fall in line with US efforts to supply and train Iran's ethnic minorities to destabilise the Iranian regime."

wouldnt surprise me ..the US funded the Iraqi national accord during saddam's rule ..they were responsible for numerous terrorist attacks against civilian targets. In fact the US has a long history of funding opposition groups against regimes they may want disposed: I cant think of a south/central american nation that hasnt at one time or other felt CIA "influence"

so they fund groups terrorist groups but go screaming "war on terror" to everyone?

CIA has never much been an organization that has been controlled by anyone other than themselves. They seeked to be as good as the KGB and to counter them, and thus stooped to very low levels in doing so.

As far as I'm aware, the CIA is a very independent government agency, and the majority of their operations are ordered from within, not from without. So to blame the entirety of the American Government or the USA in general, is a very foolish thing.

Besides, the CIA has for the longest time been known as a rather corrupt and generally seedy group, without a pristine reputation. So there's not much surprise here.

I personally think we should stop giving them more power... since they are generally in the habit of receiving it, but not giving it back.

Luis Posadas Carilles and Orlando Bosch had strongest ties with the CIA during George H Bush's tenure as the head of the CIA ..Bush's final act as president was pardoning Orlando Bosch despite the fact that many countries still seek extradition for various terrorist activities including the bombing of a cuban civilian airliner that killed all 73 aboard

those names ring a bell

ah and believeme if a webpage about venezuela hav a pic of chavez in the index, expect only praise and positive things about chavez

you're not going to read the link I provided just because there's a picture of Chavez? I assure you his photo doesnt change the fact that both men are CIA sanctioned terrorists

Ahh yes, this was reported by that Iranian news agency. The same one that used a ridiculously photoshopped image as proof.

Yep, Iranian propaganda for sure.
