im looking for US retailer that can ship internationally if HL2 doesnt come on time here in europe. amazon.com still has the wrong date so I dont dare to order from there.

whats the problem if its delayed a few days in europe just get it from steam....BOOOM the 50 bucks goes directly to valve...yay

heheh indeed---if you're on 56k--i could just imagine the game being delayed in other parts of the world, crap i'd say that would put some strain on the steam servers (1.5 mill ppl downloading----Gabe="wow its a good thing we got that 10mBit line huh"....Doug="........stfu gabe"

Thats a good point, if it isnt WOrld wide, then there is gonna be one motherload of stress on steam to deliver that much internationally.

The thing with the pay-once Steam version is the delivery format. Do I get ISOs to burn or will it a ready to use installation?

Umm i'd say it'll be a ready to use installation---considering "Americas army" has the same thing (pay to play kinda thing)

But it'd be cool to get like an iso/bin file, for burning...tho i don't think it would matter much, since you can just burn the installation or pack it into a iso/bin file.
