US PS3 pre-orders now available at Gamestop/EB...

I am not going to post any links to the articles becaue they are all over the Net by now, just look at GameTab. I was wondering, who is planning on trying to pre-order..?

I went by the local EBGames this morning around 6:30 and there were ~6 guys out there, but more were waiting in a dark SUV so I decided to not bother. The only reason I would have even waitied was to get a pack then try to make some extra $$$ on eBay from it. The store said they were getting 16 units, though the combination of core/premium was unknown and would likely be so until they get them on launch. Kind of a gamble if you ask me, which is why I left. I will likely get one next year at some point when better games release and/or the price drops. For now its me and my DS as I wait for a potential 360 holiday price slash! (Yeah right.)

I'll wait for the Euro release, I've got the 60GB PS3 pre-ordered since months back. The wait will be hard though.

The PS3 release will be crazy. I mean, launch with only 100k units in Japan? Good luck with that. You should be happy to get 400k units to the states. I've been "meh" with the whole ps3 thing and the massive delay in Europe doesnt really help, not the mention the price.

I might get one next year but until then, its Wii all the way for me.

I'm going to wait until after the first batch of consoles are out. There always seems to be problems with the first batch. 360 launch consoles seem to have a lifespan of about a year and the PS2 had problems with the disc drive.

One thing Nintendo seems to be good about is doing it right the first time.

In all likelihood you're going to be able to walk into a store and grab a Wii on release day, given the huge numbers they seem to have ready.
