The secretive US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) has awarded arms globocorp General Dynamics a $10m contract to set up a network of psychological-warfare "influence websites" supporting the Global War On Terror. France and Britain are specifically included as "targeted regions".

"PSYOP is the dissemination of truthful information to foreign audiences in support of US policy... these activities are not forms of force, but are force multipliers that use nonviolent means in often violent environments... they rely on logic, fear, desire or other mental factors... The ultimate objective of US military psychological operations is to convince enemy, neutral, and friendly nations and forces to take action favorable to the United States..."

Not at all unlike big agribusiness in the US making commercials about "Happy Cows Come From California" and "Go Meat" and "Pork: The Other White Meat" and "Beef: It's What's For Dinner" etc etc etc. All of these groups, including the armed forces, are just greedy, self-serving scumbags trying to hide the cruelty, abuses, and inhumane actions of their sector with "truthful information" so that they can keep getting richer from the slaughter. Give me a ****ing break.

A good point, but our forces are always dropping stupid leaflets or overtaking the radio waves with messages that LIE outright about our motives in whatever country we may be trying to take over. Does anyone have any quantifiable evidence of any of these psywarfare campaigns actually working?? Are we to believe that the US is going to invade the UK and France next??
