im trying to use my Trust Spacecam 320 on MSN Messneger Live. When i try to start a video chat, i get a bubble n the taskbar saying i dont have enought badwidth and i should remove some hardware.

Thing is I onlt have my USB Mosue and ADSL moden plugged in, which I both need.

What can I do? I have an Asus A8n-SLI motherboard and have tried all different combinations of plugging in my USB devices.

Is it a driver issue?

I have TWO cpntrollers "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host COntroller" and "Standard OpenHCD USB Host COntroller". When i plug the webcam in any of my 6 usb ports (4 in the back, and 2 at the front) it always seems to use the "Standard OpenHCD USB Host COntroller".

I got the feeling I need to buy a USB Hub. Will this give me extra Bandwidth?
How can I use the "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host COntroller"?

You could try a USB hub (powered). Although it's odd it doesn't work by trying different plugs/controllers. Also try moving the other USB devices around to different sets of ports. Does it do the same thing without the other USB stuff plugged in?

Maybe buy a dedicated USB card if nothing else works.

Yes ive tried every combo possible. It appears I cant use "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host COntroller" coz whenever I refresh the USB Bandwidth screen, it always shows my USD devices connected to the "Standard OpenHCD USB Host COntroller" nomater which of the 6 USB ports I use. Also my ADSL modem uses 33% bandwidth and theres 25% for "Reserved". The webcam works fine when i disconnect the ADSL modem though, so im pretty sure its my modem sucking the bandwidth

I think i will have to get a HUB. You mentioned a POWERED hub, what do you mean by that?

It comes with an AC power brick to plug into the wall rather than sucking power from the daisy-chained USB port.

Right thanks. Ill get the HUB today. Shame thought, i thought by ASUS A8n-SLI would be cable

I had exactly the same problem. I have my ZBoard and mouse plugged in and thats it. I tried running my camera on Skype and hey presto it worked perfectly. I think the problem may lie in Live Messenger not supporting some cameras, as mine is a Logitech camera. Good luck anyway
