USB Problems?

Well first off ive bough a Sony External dvd write drive...and when i plug it into one of my usb ports it windows says that its an unknown device...any thoughts on this?

yeah
install the drivers that came with it (if a CD came)
or
check sonys website for drivers

do u think it could be the USB drivers?

Ive tried to update drivers for it but it says that its not connected which is logic cause its not beign recognized

ok my computer recognizes it now and the usb...now to find a good burning program....ive tried to use nero but like 20 seconds through it gives me blue screen error thing so i will need another burning program for iso's
