Just asking if anyone here knows UScript. If you don' know what it is, I will tell you. UScript(Unreal Script) is a cross between C++ and Java. :) It is used to make mods and mutators for the Unreal line of games. It is very easy to understand if you code in either C++ or Java. :) It is also eas to comprehend if you don't understand C++ or Java. :) Well who knows it? :) :)
 
Well, I have no clue when it comes to C++ / Java, but even ME!, yes ME!, made a mutator for UT2003 :laugh:

All it was was, you know the slow corpse thingy ?, all I did was make it slow down ALOT more, kinda like bullet time speed, it was really easy me thinks...
 
Yeah, making mutators ar easy. It should be even easier in UT2004.
 
There are already some great sites to get you started on mapping. I belong to one, and that is where I learned 2 years ago.

If you want to get a head start on moddage you should go there. As long as you have mapping under your belt, it's all good.
 
Yeah Ive played with uscript before. I came from the unreal community before I ventured into HL2. I used to help run a newbie mappers guild, also known as UTNMG or UEN. Its sort of died since then, but there are alot of people in the unreal community running other sites that started at uen.
 
I made a mod for UT2003 once (or more like a mutator)

You gained health all the way to 200 (-ish) and when you hit 200 - Boom... dead :)

Don't like 'em myself, and the map editors for the Unreal games have always been a bit crap tbh. Nowt like lovely old Hammer \o/
