hai guys I have Ut3 but hardly anybody plays it,do al lot of people still play Ut2k4?

Meh, not really. You can play against bots, though...

Nothing but bots on servers.
It's what ruined the game imo.
This is bound to happen to Unreal 3 as well.

Yeah from whwt i've heard lots of bots but still I'd say install it cos it's still a fun game.

oh sweet holy jesus yes.

First off, the bots are ace themselves :P
Secondly, the gameplay kicks ass. None of this retarded Orb AI shit.
Finally, MODS MODS MODS.

So, yes, install it. It's GODLIKE!

Some of the mods and mutators are just absolutely amazing, so YES

UT2k4 is freaking amazing. Install it! More people play ut2k4 as compared to ut3 because they know ut3 sux when it comes to warefare..and also because they know ut3 has become more of a console game (resulting in smaller maps, overly done textures, console like vehicle controls, shit gameplay)

Because trying to release a title simultaneously for x many platforms will cause an overall degradation in the game. Multiple platform games are a good thing don't get me wrong but focusing on more than one at a time no matter how large your team will lower the quality. How can I believe this? Simple the bean counters will make sure that every corner that can be cut in such a development process will be cut. Such as the case with the UI and menu system in UT3. There are deadlines and budgets that have to be met after all. If one platform falls behind the other in the dev process you can bet they'll be spending a lot of time trying to bring it up to speed with the other/s. Which can occasionally lead to the whole project suffering.

I may not be in the games industry but I do manage software projects of various natures and have had to deal with multiple platforms and code bases before. It'd make my job a lot easier if I could focus on one thing at a time but I'm not the one in charge of the deadlines.

Nah. Forcedskins and 'Pro' mods are what ruined the game, stripped it bare of any accessibility and visual flair it may have once had. It may be pointless to play against bots, but they're slightly more fun than some of the real people who play the game.

I play UT2004 on a daily basis, I prefer RPF invasion servers myself, and I found one I really like, its often full.

UT2004 is fantastic, plenty of players and servers.
Playing against bots is a blast, they're just as good as human players.

And the endless mods, 97% of the mods have bot support so they're well worth the download even if they have no servers.
