uv problem

im getting this weird problem and i dont have a clue why. im usign xsi btw. in the texture editor when i do stamp uv mesh. it doesnt. the image stays exactly how it was without the uv mesh imprinted onto it. this has always worked before and i even tried uninstalling xsi and reinstalling it. anyone had this problem before? and xsi haters i dont wana hear it. that meens you retrocide.
 
well when something like this happens in max it usualy means that you havea few polygons selected in another modifier. i dont know how that translates to xsi. is it only happening with that particular model ?
 
no its happening with every single model. itsn ot the end of the world ive been taking screenshots and using them but i would rather have it fixed lol.
