[br]Valve and Facebook have finally made a move to tie their social services together, in an effort that has made sense in the minds of gamers for years. At the moment, the extent of the 'Steam' facebook app is that it will let you intertwine your friend lists from the two popular services.[br]While this is an interesting start, this can't be all there is to it; Facebook's platform is perfect for achievement postings (a la PS3/360), and maybe even an interlinked chat API.[br]The final upside for all you socialites is that your Steam friends list has been expanded to accept 300 friends. At least you'll always have someone to play Portal 2 with now.[br]To get started linking your facebook and Steam accounts, just sign into the Steam community.

So my friends and family can see how much time I waste on games? Noooo, thank you.

Also, Steam had a 300 friend cap limit?

Steam is for my gaming pals. Facebook is for my real life friends. I don't really want the two crossing over.

'Twas the inevitable.

Not having a part of it though.

Yep, saw it coming a mile away, but I certainly am not going to be doing any such thing. This "social" craze impregnating every god damn thing is annoying the shit out of me. I became a gamer so I could avoid socializing damnit!

It used to be 250. I had constant issues with this. Now I'll have issues with the 300 limit.

I didn't know it was 250. Thats kind of a lame jump.

I'm surprised it took this long to be honest. Jintor better have accepted my friend request >_>

I can't wait to impress the women with my achievements.

Yep same for me. Some people have tried to add me on FB but I just tell them unless I have met you in reality, then you can't be on it. It's an exclusive club. :p I'm in the FB hl2.net group as well.

Yeah, I don't think i want my real life friends and family know how much a no life I can be on steam.

Steam Community -> Profile -> Edit my Profile -> Facebook

So. Apparently they didn't extend the friends list. My cap is still at 250.
