When one looks at the the "Info you've recieved from Valve" thread it becomes clear that the Valve guys have more than enough time to read and reply to even the most mundane of e-mails.

On a couple occasions I have e-mailed Valve regarding Nvidia cards, looking for them to say something good, anything good, about Nvidia's products.
I never get a reply.

My most recent e-mail... (sent individually to all the people at Valve that might respond) asked simply for their "thoughts" on the new upcoming Nvidia card, and if they had a chance to test HL2 on one yet.
No-one replied.

Not even a "we haven't tried one yet."

I really am convinced that Valve and ATI are so in bed with each other that Valve can't/doesn't want to say anything that might take business away from ATI.

I really would like to know what Valve's Nvidia diss/ATI recomendation did for ATI's managment's stock portfolio. I'd also like to know what ATI gave to Valve for all this PR.

Just my $0.02

hey genius, you might want to know that Valve is not answering any emails....

Six Three, genius, there are several new emails that Valve has revcently answered in the info from valve thread. I can think of 8 million reasons why Valve hypes ATI cards.

Hey Brainiac, they answered a couple yesterday.

let off the flameing dude mabey some of us dont know that valves not answering E-mails!!! DUH!!! you cant expect the world to know evreything!!! ne ways even if they dont admit it... valve and ATI are doing something and its pissing me off... someone needs to grab them both by the balls

First of all, well done to Six Three....

Secondly, if I was Valve and had a contract with ATI i certainly wouldn't talk crap about ATI. Why the conspiracy talk? It's just common sense.

People are so harsh to each other.

No it's no conspiracy, just business as usual.

Gabe and Rick hate me, havent received any replies to any of my mundane e-mails.
:p

If a gfx card performed awesome on my product and many others I wouldn't recommend it. Infact I'd recommend the card that performs under par and just might not be playable...just for some of you.

Feel special and stop speculating. ;)

I prefer "If you're not a part of the solution, there's good money to be made in prolonging the problem."

The thread is on the same damn page as this one...go look yourself and check the dates.

a) Wrong forum
b) Flame fest
c) I've seen Valve comment on nVidia cards before and it could be somewhere in the Valve Info Thread

a + b + c = Closed.
