Finally valve cleared that up

LOL, I never even noticed that the acronym ASHPD (Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device) bared a resemblance to Adrian Shepherd

Why is it people want closure on Shephard? Was the ending of OP4 not enough of an ending? It certainly was for me.
 
Ending of Opposing Force was incredible. With the G-man going "Quite so." and a bomb exploded.

You all suck not likeing it.

I'd expect G-man to use Shepherd for a more risky operation, seeing as he's not as valuable as Gordon, so it won't be too bad if he dies.
 
I think a good wrap-up would be Gman returning to Shephard's stasis and finding his plane has dipped out of the space-continuum and has been lost. And then Gman goes home.

Have you noticed that almost everyone in this thread spells Shepherd's name differently?
 
Obviously, Sheperd's very soul has been transmuted to create the ASHPD.
 
One day he got bored and jumped out of the helicopter. End of story.

The correct spelling is Shephard.
 
Well it looks like theres a the chance of him coming back but we knew that already with gabe saying he wanted to go back to him at some point.


And god damnit that ending provides no god damn closure.

G-man: SO uh...well...Yeah just stay here...you know..only because I like you..but yeah..just..kind of chillax for a while.

I mean really we don't even need a shephard game, I think most people just want to know if hes alive or not more than anything >_>

Yes and actually it's spelt Shepard. And yes I spelt my name wrong, I did that on purpose.
Very happy to hear Shepard is being considered for a game!:bounce:

Sheepf***er and Gordon is the same. You never hear them speak, never get to see them. So i never got attached to Shephard, not like i did Gordon, with the help of Eli, Barney, Alxy and Llamar.

Same. I liked Shepherd, but honestly there's no real reason to bring him back.
 
If only the end screen had said Status: Executed, that would be a real ending!

He'll be back, but whats actually going to happen is, it'll be at the end of Episode 3 and through some chain of events it looks like things are going to end badly....BUT THAN SUDDENLY SHEPHARD JUMPS OUT OF A PLANE AND HITS THE GROUND BREAKING HIS FALL WITH HIS HELMET, AND COMPLETELY DISREGARDING THAT CONCUSSION HE JUST RECEIVED, HE SINGLE HANDEDLY TAKES OUT THE COMBINE WITH A LAZOR. SHOOP DA WOOP

Thats the only possible way he can come back.

I cant help but think thats a coincidence. Esspecialy 'kus they said that portals main character is a woman. I think what we got in OP was all we will get.
