Valve fixes Pyro some more

He could tell from the fact you were at the bottom of the scoreboard you were a woman. So he was hitting on you.

The ubersaw and axtinguisher are both downgrades in melee-only. That's about it.

That one extra swing you can get with the regular bonesaw hardly competes with what you get from an Ubersaw hit IMO.

Axetinguisher is a bit of a novelty to me, but then I rarely used my axe any way unless it was absolutely necessary. I actually melee a lot more now when I ambush, not only because it makes me feel badass, but also because it's an actual guaranteed crit as opposed to BB.

All I can say about Blut is that since its release it's the only weapon Medics kill me with these days.

It was ridiculous to have the extra health before, a blatant upgrade. I've had no trouble with my crits, I get them anytime my opponent is turned. I'm so happy that the number of pyros is sure to decrease soon.

I've started meleeing a lot more, simply for the "thrill". It's also a useful saviour if you're low on your round of rockets as soldier or low on ammo in general. I rarely used the axe before, but the 100% (usually) crit is extremely useful against heavies. The depleted 50 health will inevitably stop me from using that tactic now, unfortunately.

I just haven't been arsed to switch back to the normal syringe gun. Blut is useful for retreating.

Notice they don't list sniper in any of the gate fixes. Not that I ever figured out how to do it

When you get it down how many scattergun shots take down each class, you can easily melee people to death after a blast or two. Muy fun.

Actually Hectic Glen, the pyro update WAS an UPGRADE.

Should already be fixed.

Far too many. If you hang around trying to finish them off, you'll most likely be killed.

Actually, the Medic using an Ubersaw is a lot less likely to survive a battle, even with other medics. I know, from experience.

Yes, the Blut is obviously OP compared to the needlegun.

The Blut and Ubersaw will be all I use when I play medic....once 360 get's the weapons. the Kritskreig will be case by case. As for the Pyro I will only use the flare gun to annoy people when a match begins and a lot of people aren't playing yet, to piss off snipers, to identify and piss off Spy's and to play flare tennis with another Pyro.

Well....The syringe is pretty powerful. I've taken down heavy's on my own with it. So perhaps I will use it from time to time. When I feel like being a really offensive medic.

The backburner will be from time to time too. (and by the time we 360's get it, the back targeting will be perfected :p) when I want to go solo and ambush people. But if I'm in 2fort and there's a few engis with mics I'll stick with ye olden flamethrower and it's new air blast. to keep stickys, rockets and ubers away from sentrys and to push edgers and others into the sentrys view :E

The new axe will always be used as well and never will I use the old one again.

Oh well, I guess maybe I'll try learning how to use air compression effectively. I can never time it right.

There's a slight delay with it by default. Try to time it so that the projectile/enemy is within compression range when the air-warping effect is at its largest.

Four scatter gun shots, dodge the minigun, press q, and bonk. Though it's usually safer just to shoot the heavy again.

Would you mind explaining me what this scout crap has to do with a pyro BB fix thread

What, because they feel the need to melee more?

I never noticed a difference.

Might be the wrong thread. I don't really know or care.

No, I mean, if the Medic is close up, and decides to use his Saw to live, he is a lot less likely to be successful if he uses the Ubersaw.

Well considering there's usually one critical hit / 3 hits, there's no real difference honestly.

Someone who knows how to aim with the ubersaw has more chances to live than the typical guy running around holding mouse1 with the bonesaw.

Did you just admit you randomly click on a thread, only to ignore it's subject and post something completely off-topic?

That's a winner right there.

Because of the extra swing? I don't buy it, and I've not experienced this difference. Maybe it makes one for your average pub scrub, but it's nothing that can't be easily compensated for with a little bit of extra aiming and timing.

Would you mind explaining me what this scout crap has to do with a pyro BB fix thread

It's related to Team Fortress 2 and is discussing the perks of a class in a light now available to us after the Pyro was nerfed.

Now you.

But seriously, what does it matter whether it's slightly off-topic or not. It's a forum, and like any conversation, things develop, just look at miscellaneous. That's how a conversation can naturally develop. Restraining it to specific parameters is only going to restrain people's voice, thus making the conversation at hand thin. Besides, you're backseat moderating. Shut the hell up.

lol @ druckles trying to argue with the whole point of making different-themed topic threads.

I almost never post things that are entirely off topic. Sometimes my posts deviate a bit, but it's usually in response to something already happening in a thread. Of course, mistakes do sometimes happen. But you know what? I didn't feel like reading every post in this thread to see exactly which one I was replying to for some jackass like you. Is that a little clearer for you?

I would call you guys sad to be arguing over this, but it's equally sad I think so.

....I'm so sad

STFU Cubey. :3

Anyway, whatever. I still haven't tried TF2 since the update - anybody want to give us the lowdown on whether it really effects anything?

The pyro is weak again. Rejoice.

Lies >:O

It depends on the load-out from now on, honestly.

No one really shits himself when seeing a flaregun weilding pyro, but the BB is still a beast when your whole squad goes down because no one bothered looking behind you all :x

Except an extra rocket or grenade, I for one saw the +50 only as a annoyance (for the attacker) instead of a challenging battle asset

I managed to survive battles a little bit longer and retreat back for health a lot with the health upgrade. I didn't like it, it felt cheap. The backburner is devestating in the right times, and don't knock the flare gun either!

"Lols" at irony of jack-ass trying to backseat moderate out off-topic posts while deviating conversation further from the point.

What's this health bonus that you're all talking about?
