In half life at the end G-Man tells you that you earned the HEV shut and you keep it, but in Half Life 2 you dont have it till you get it from Dr. Cliner(SP?)

If the G-Man can strip you of your weapons without you noticing it, I'm pretty sure the HEV suit is easy too.

It's Kleiner by the way.
 
to be honest if you were a metrocop and saw someone leaving a train in an orange armoured suit thing wouldn't you detain him or kill him? hence ruining the rest of the game, and preventing stuff later in the game e.c.t
 
He took it because showing up in the train station in a HEV suit would have been detremental to your mission.
 
Freeman should have turned up as a result of a teleportation experiment. -_-
 
He probably gave it to Kleiner. The doc refers to it as your old suit, anyway.
 
Besides, the G-Man said that we earned the suit, not that we can keep it.
 
Kleiner calls it your old suit but it is actually the Mark V suit which has been redesigned for use with Combine batteries and wall chargers as the old ones dont exist anymore

That is true, or he's just insane and thinks that it's the same suit.

I think G-MAN just put Gordon's body into stasis, the HEV suit probably got sucked out of the Zen portal and landed right into Kleiner's lap.
 
Uh, we're not stupid.

We know there's at the very least 3 HEV suits in existance, probably more at Black Mesa, and they might be sold at K-Mart for all we know.
 
I know, i was just responding to the multiple posts that make it sound like a one of a kind deal.

and if you think about it, he's without the suit for like what. . 10 minutes of the game? So techincally he does get to keep it. That and it would have jacket the game imo if u did start with it. . not to mention the CP would arrest you for being suspicous.

Suits are as cheap I mean Fineas they can be. Who wants to buy a fresh suit? Only 26 mil.

There is a strong vibe that Kleiner & Co. knew that Gordon was coming. It's possible that G-Man gave them the suit (perhaps not in person just left it somewhere they would easily find it) to prepare it for his arrival.
