such a simple thing, and a lot easier on them and us if they only have to update it instead of sending mass emails to webmasters of known gaming sites and still leaving uncertaintity for the community. win-win situation. but if valve wants to be mysterious, oh well i guess :/

Or they could just hold a announcement whenever they decide the game is gonna be delayed. Just think in a few more months we are gonna be back on the edge of our seats waiting..7...days away...then BAM its pushed back another 3 months. :flame: O well they wouldnt delay if it wasnt for a reason.

Valve should just update their finger files. Faster, no html crap. id Software found that out a long time ago.

1. No release date - "when it's done" is enough 'till gold-status
2. Update your information status via finger files to keep your fans up-to-date.

Dunno why Valve doesn't do the same. It would be a offical source and even the most busy valve employee can hack 1-2 sentences in a finger ASCII file.
