I just got back from watching it. Very good movie, Great CGI! And very funny.

Anyone elce see it?
 
i heard it was "meh, movie" material.... i 1st have to see the punisher and mean girls
 
Whoa, I haven't seen you in a while, thenerdguy! Are you gonna start with TheNerdNews again? (Made this forum so damn original and fun)

I've seen some commercials and stuff about it, I think I'm gonna consider watching it, not many good "adventure"-movies these days.
 
Yeah, it is like Mummy 2, but with more stupid looking monsters, a chick with horrible accent and some lame ass jokes (again, like in Mummy). I don’t know why I wasted $10 on this garbage, but I guess it hits lowest common denominator. You know, go watch Mean Girls, at least that one is more witty (yeah, imagine that) and will remind you of high school girls that you could never have, and who would be fat by 10 year HS re-union.
 
The Punisher kicks ass. its a mean movie, and has the most origional action ending ever! rofl, just wait for it you'll laugh its hilarious, and gory
 
Isn't Van Helsing by the guy who did "The Mummy" and didn't the mummy suck ass?
 
I was planning on checking it out. The local reviewer panned it, but hes well known to be a twat. This is a man who didn't like Return of the King. :D
 
Yeah I just got back from seeing that movie, it was pretty bad ass. Some of the acting (very few parts) were kinda cheesy and scripted looking, but the CG and effects were very nice. I'd see it again
 
I just got back from the theater, I give it a 9 outta 10.

The only thing I didn't like were these damn guys talking during the ENTIRE ****ing movie........grrrrrr......
 
When some asshole won't stop talking, I just turn around and tell him loud enough for the whole theater toi hear "Shut your damn pie hole." A couple times the theater cheered.

It was an alright movie. A little too far fetched in some spots.

Heh the projector stopped and melted the movie, had to wait like 20 mins for someone to splice it back together.
 
You guys rekindeled my desire to see this movie, after reading dozens of other reviews by people, I got dissapointed. I guess I cant lose seeing I have free movie tickets :) yay !

Lol, that happened to me when I was a kid in deepst Scotland. The cinema was so crap that halfway through a film it just stopped, the image turned upside down and froze for around twenty minutes. Then, an hour or so later, it stopped and then started runnign backwards. And then we heard a crash and saw a lot of smoke coming from the projector room. The image, needless to say, had vanished. We were ushered out due to 'technical difficulties'.

sweet, dude. my friends and i were watching ... some movie... uhh... well whatever, doesn't matter what movie it was... anyways, this guy and girl were talking a lot, and then the dude was talking on his cell phone, and then the girl was(it was just like the scene in scary movie where the black chick is talkin on the phone in the theater). so one of my buddies finally got pissed and said really loud, "hey i'm sorry to interrupt your phone call, but in case you haven't noticed, there's a movie playing on a big screen in front of you" it was pretty cool. i was ready to brawl after the movie was over, in case the guy got pissed

How in the world can a movie about vampires, werewolves, and monsters be farfetched? ;)
 
That was a very cool movie! 8 outta 10, although almost every review i've seen of it was like one or two stars heh.
 
Aye, Van Helsing is probably the worst movie i've seen in the last 3 years. Even Attack of the Clones was better.
 
As I said, lowest common denominator. Hahaha... amazing, and you know this garbage will make money, so you people can look forward to Val Helsing 2: Dracula Returns.

Here is an idea, how about reading a book instead, eh?
 
I just wish the promotion would have been more inline with what the film was like, ie total crap.

Straight away you know it's going to be absolute and utter garbage. When i saw the Van Helsing trailer i thought it looked pretty damn cool!! FOOLED AGAIN BY THOSE EVIL MARKETERS!!!

I have to say that both trailers told me immediatelly that the films suck.
 
I am going to see the movie today...for free hahaha.

I really should have done my research before hand and found it was directed by the same guy who did The Mummy and The Mummy...returns.

Just been invited to see it Tuesday by a pretty lass. She even sent me a photo.

Hmm... movie theatres are nice and dark right?
 
Van Helsing is tons better then I thought it would be, it is a pretty good movie, there is nothing wrong with the movie or any really bad parts just a good solid movie.
 
i saw it yesterday, the animation is bloody gourgeous and the action is great. I thought it would be worse too. the story was ok, very predictible mind.
 
Finally, people who don't think it's shite!
 
The story was obvious but I was still suprised by some of the story, because I work at a movie theater and I kept hearing all this crap about the movie and was expecting certain things to happen.
 
was a good movie, i didnt expect it to be good though which is weird. cuz most movies suck this day. surprisingly it had not cheesy lines o_O
 
I thought it was a bit corny, but still rather entertaining on a slow afternoon.
 
it was a bit cheesy at times but Kate Beckingsale made it up for it ;p
 
Yeah kate has a way of making movie worth watching :) :) :).

van helsing was the silliest movie i've seen in a long time. It was the mummy, except without the charisma of brendan fraiser and rachel weisz... i didn't like it at all..

go see man on fire instead... that was a very cool movie. silly, but really cool.
