Video games + social life

A friend of mine pulled me out of my gaming chair while I was playing Company Of Heroes. I was sorely disappointed.

He brought me to a party that had beer, but no vodka. I was sorely disappointed.

There were people I knew and some I didn't, but there weren't a lot of girls. I was sorely disappointed.

After some more drinks and the majority of the people leaving, there were only a few people left. It was cold and I was shaking. A girl I was talking to proceeded to sit on my lap. I was no longer disappointed. :D

Well yes that little story illustrates how I do not have any problems with social ineptitude. Also for the people that wanted to know: Nothing came out of that lap-sitting situation as she already had a boyfriend and I was way too tired and drunk to do anything but talk about (because you're drunk seemingly interesting) topics.

I don't have that problem becuase I don't shut myself up for days on end.

I'm at college during the day, in the evenings I'll meet friends or at worst go to the gym then talk to old men in the suana.

lol, I avoid the sauna in my gym for that exact reason.

I don't think I could shut myself inside for several days if I tried. My friends would eventually break into my room and drag me out places.

You mean like this? I really hope none of you out there are like this though. :| Not being yourselves is even geekier than openly admitting your a geek by most people's standards. People admire self-confidence, and self-respect. You'll fit into any crowd's social circle just fine as long as you show it.

If you're charming enough about it, you can openly tell just about any lady out there that you spend a lot of your time home, alone, in front of your computer, and get away with it coming across as cute.

It's not that I "shut" myself out for days on end, it's just that some weekends nobody is doing anything.

Nobody smoking, nobody is just chilling at the park/mall/beach/whatever, nobody is surfing, no parties, nothing.

You know those weekends aye? When there's absolutely nothing to do?

Well, that, or I get grounded :/

That depends on whether or not your looking for a girlfriend though tbh. It's quite obvious your not going to get very far with any woman if you don't even have a job. :p (which is why I'm not even going to bother for now) As long as you can provide, I'm sure there are plenty of lookers out there that are into video games as well as other geeky stuff. ;) I dumped my girlfriend a couple of months of ago because the long distance relationship thing never works. She didn't live too far away and even offered expense free travel to go visit here every now and then. Now for the next 6 or 7 months I have left of college, I'll probably be jacking off. Funny how things get back at you. :(
