Video of handheld Xbox?

i never realised how frickin' big that thing is. That sort of size is okay for a ultraportable laptop, but something you're meant to hold in your hands like a PSP? A bit too heavy I imagine... meh, I could be wrong.

I dont like the design looks uncomfertable, like the bottons and all. The features on the other hand are amazing.

Aw! Its like a Windows compatible Etch-A-Sketch! Sign me up too! :p

It seems way too small to be an effective laptop and too big to be a portable videgaming system. People have loads of alternatives if they want to IM each other or send pictures and play games and such. What is the point of difference here?

Then again, if this is the same price as the PSP and plays Windows games, I am sold!

the fact that I can read and post on internet forums while sitting on the toilet? best use of technology ever ..bye bye magazines

Man, if they would've had this a year and a half ago you'd probably have like 30,000 posts!

Looks cool, if a little large. If a smaller, more portable version is released (which can only be a matter of time), then i'm sold :)

so is this what that mysterious website is on about?

Looks pretty awesome. But I don't know I would go enough places where it wouldn't get stolen or where I couldn't use a computer anyway.... apart from the toilet. :p

Very cool, but controls look uncomfortable as shit, and it's a bit... big. Otherwise, very sweet.

It's just a smaller tablet PC, I don't see whats so special about it.

Aww, I thought this was gonna be about peoples hobby projects of making systems portable. I always find those interesting.

The fact that the video would NOT load faster than I was viewing it was getting rather annoying..constantly pausing. Dag nabbit.

It looks rather ok..too bad it's going to be way too expensive more than likely :(

it must be getting hammered with traffic ..I saw it a number of times this morning with no problems

Hmmm. Interesting. I'd like to see more information about it though.

It just looks like a tablet PC... albeit a bit smaller.

EDIT: Speaking of portable devices, my old iRiver iHP-120 died a few days ago. So, I spent quite a while comparing new audio/video players and decided to buy a Cowon A2. It should arrive in the mail in a day or two. So much for "overnight" delivery.

very nice, 5 days left till Microsoft reveals all info.

in stead of clicking it, (if you did you can press Stop on your browser) right click it and 'save target as..'

The video wasn't very inspiring IMO.

Now imagine if it was a handheld Xbox 360....
lol.....

It didn't take Sony all that long to produce what is pretty close to a tiny portable PS2, so I wouldn't think it would take that long for MS to produce a smaller portable 360. Maybe 5-10 years? Unless of course this actually turns out to be their main foray into the portable gaming/computing market....

who is saying there is anything special or magically about it ? it's just that it's from microsoft so you have all these spurting rubbish.

But its user friendly rubbish :p

Supposedly that video is old... Who knows how much the design has changed.... Let's wait a few more days and find out all :)

The one thing I want to know is battery life on that thing...

It uses 1.5 gigawats and runs on nuclear energy and *never crashes

lmao

no seriously though, i bet the new design will look much better and show off all the things it can really do. it looks like it would be great for certain career fields. alas, it needs a seperate keyboard, so its not my dream machine. I'll pass

I don't much care for the look, or the button layout. It looks... I dunno, retro for some reason, old.

Also the color scheme and design is ugly as shit.

xboxmock5.jpg
would be sechs tho

but I must say, the overall "portability" of the mockups and even this little video show of the MS handheld.. seems limited. But hey who knows what it will actually look like if launched.

Kind of agree, and the video screams "hey look, I know xb360 tanked in japan, but we have an asian person in our commercial now so you gotta buy"

There's already a device on sale that is capable of a lot of what this Origami thing does and looks similar (but cooler)... called the i-Station v43. It's made in Korea, has a 30gb HD, a 4.3" touch-sensitive wide screen, runs on an AMD processor, uses Linux, supports a bunch of codecs, has TV out, can output 5.1 audio, does GPS navigation, acts as a USB host, can read PDFs and Microsoft Office files, has a wireless remote, has an FM radio, etc. The only thing this Origami thing seems to have over it is wifi. Sadly, the only way to get one is to import it for about $700. They're supposedly looking into selling a modified version (with appropriate maps) outside of Korea for a much more reasonable price.

EDIT: If they do, I just might trade my new Cowon A2 in for one of these bad boys.

That would be ace. If it had a decent cpu and memory, could run photoshop and has USB 2.0 I'm buying!

Did you guys notice that there was the new Leica dSLR in that video? and it was supposedly made a year ago? Leica have JUST announced that they are making a dSLR. Interesting...

never seen those products ..please give detailed review :)

I really dont even care about the gaming aspect ..I just want a portable device that I can do work on with full internet functionality

Its zise as as big as BXXX GXXXX's ass,
they should think of the desigen again

Im sure it does some cool stuff, but you can tell by the video their trying to make it seem fashionable, and imo it looks about as fashionable as a brick with sanded down corner's.

The buttons are nice though.

uncovering date != creation date.

if you read more recent blog entries on some of the popular ones, you will see how the next rage is saying how old the video is.
