Video Settings For HL2

I can't put reflections on in the game. Won't let me put on anything higher than simple reflections.

Have you got DirectX 9.0c? Also, you need to get a new gfx card ...

The reason is because your graphics card is not good enough, most likely.

Yeah, but it won't even LET me try it. I click apply and nothing at all happens. Yes, I have DirectX 9.0. And yes I know I need to get a new gfx card. While we're on the gfx card topic, what is good for half life 2 (mid 100$ range please).

I have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo 128mb and so Im running DirectX 9 but my recommended setting for reflections is simple.

How much do you wanna pay?
Cheap = ATi 9800 Pro, Medium Range = nVidia 6600 GT (or 6800 GT if u can afford it), High-end = X800XL (let's not go there)
