I'm think my video codecs are being mixed. I don't know.

What's happening is whenever I try to play a video, either a dedicated player (WinAmp, Divx Player) or imbedded, the video is layered with pink. I can barely see the video.

LOL UR VIDEOS R TURNING GAY LOLLERWAFFLECAKES :D

No seriously, I had this awhile back, but I can't remember what I did. I think I had to reinstall most of my codecs.

LIKE YOU LOL.

How would I go about doing that?

Videos constantly pink.

...I had an erge to make a porno joke here, but I won't.

You sure it's not an issue with your video drivers? Because if it's ****ing with all your players... I dunno.

VLC Player is the most reliable player I've come across thus far. Usually if it doesn't play in that, I know something's wrong with either the file or my drivers.

Alright, I downloaded that, opened it up got a Windows error. Then it worked and the video is still pink.

D:

I'm going to uninstall all of my 3rd party video players.

Like i had that with WMP and ive also had it with Realplayer

for wmp: go to 'tools' >options>performance tab>advanced> tick "use high quality mode"

RP: go to 'tools'>preferences>hardware(lowerleft)> make sure you have the 'playback performance' on "best quality"

I have encountered this quite recently, can't remember how I fixed it though, think it could have been when i installed 81.95 drivers for my video card.

go video card drivers, look around in there, normally video playback options

also heard about it being a glitch go tools options performance advanced or summat in WMP and lower qualit in there

Basically your overlay settings are messed up.
Do you have Nvidia or ATI drivers.
If ATI do you use Cataylst?

If it's nvidia right click on the desktop, click on Nvidia Display, click on your monitor thats their, on the menu click on Video Overlay settings and click restore default. If you can't restore, set Hue to 0, and Saturation to 114%.

If you have ATI tell me and ill put those up.

I have this sometimes. I think it's caused by my Gfx card overheating though.

no, you have to install wmp 9 or whatever, this happened to me as well.

Yes, I had to install WMP 10 to make them fine again. I don't know what the problem was -- I just installed everything and tried WMP alone. Thanks for all your help.
