Ok with all this talk about Nintendo Revolution and the Nintendo ON i needed to bring up this thread.

A while ago there were 2 tech videos (REAL) that demo new VR tech. One showed a table and some guy driver a mini car over it in some kind of VR. This was the tech Nintendo Revolution was suppose to have or was rumored to have.

Thx to Anthraxxx we have one of the videos. Still looking for the other REAL VR video.

Nintendo ON: http://onefed.com/media/NintendoON.wmv

Total Immersion Technology: http://www.compfused.com/directlink/662/

Im going to edit the post once i get those videos and more info.

You mean "Augmented Reality"... where objects appear to be in the real-world rather than trying to make you feel like you are in another world (a Virtual Reality)?

wow... I dunno about that video. Chances are it's faked, but much respect to whoever made it. That's... really cool.

I'm a bit skeptical with the ON video, but whoever made it has mad skillz. I'm skeptical mainly cause of some bad grammar in it.

The theory of VR would kind of make sense because Miyamoto was saying that the Revolution's inferior technology wouldn't matter due to the fact that Nintendo's goals are much different than Sony and MS. Could the different goals actually be related to fact that they wouldn't be creating games for the TV screen?

Interesting theory! :D

Microsoft and Sony are ruling the American market in consoles, and that's likely to increase as time goes on. Nintendo consoles in America are treated like they're meant for kids.

By moving to a diferent (and better) medium, Nintendo can re-take the gaming market.

If Nintendo was actually considering just coming out with the Revolution then they must have not set their hopes very high. I don't know if it means anything but the guys at engadget got ahold of the Revolutions console at E3 only to find out it was a dummy, no insides to it.

I updated the post with the Total Immersion video. Still looking for the REAL VR tech video and ANY info on VR and Total Immersion tech is greatly appreciated.

If the ON is real, then I will get it, no questions asked.

It seems like it might be, except the "the most sleek" (should be sleekest) in the video means it could be fake. Still if someone made that, more power to em... it's a great fake.

And even if the graphics suck, it's still a worthy purchase.

Imagine playing VR Pong!!

If Nintendo ON is real, it will be like gaming in the 80's all over again.
