Anyone here a fan of VMWare.

I'm currently doing some work for PHD Virtual and just wondered if any of you are buffs in this area?

I had VMWare on my Mac before I put Windows on it via Boot Camp. It is good for everyday tasks but is crap for games and anything intensive.

4 of our servers at work are running under esx. Virtualisation is the way to go - especially when it comes to managing and installing servers.

Cool.. glad to see a few of you know what i'm on about :)

PHD Virtual's main product esXpress is pretty nifty cos it's the only solution to use virtual backup appliances (small virtual machines) on an ESX server to autonomously conduct hot full/ “virtual full” backups of Virtual Machines.

VMWare are releasing a load of new stuff on tuesday (vSphere 4.0 and VMWare virtual backup) that is gonna make esXpress the shizzle for backup. I'll be busy on that day

I'm currently using VMWorkstation to help me test websites cross platform. Really helps :afro:
