So everything was cool, i was listening to some music, talking to friends on ventrilo etc etc and then BOOM...well actually there were no boom. However, the sound messed up and everything froze, including the mouse. I restarted the computer only to have it happen again. After 3 tries the computer refused to even boot XP up. I tried a system repair but it wouldnt work. I turned the computer in to a service place so their going to fix it. Im in a clan thats going to play on CAL so i had to get a computer before the 26th!!!!
My other computer had an Expired Vista on it. So i had to format everything and install XP on it. Everything was fine but as soon i connected to the internet i got bombarded by hundreths of hackers. I got about 10 different viruses/trojans/bots/whatever trying to get access to my computer EVERY SECOND. My firewall couldnt handle it so then explorer stopped working and it said that my IP adress is saved in the hackers hand. Then, a window popped up saying that it will turn of the computer and there is no way i can prevent it.
This happens EVERYTIME i connect to the internet, so i format again. This time, i saved some firewalls and virus protection programs on a DVD and installed them on my computer before connecting to the internet. This time, my firewalls keept everything off. Everything was fine, till about 20 minutes later. Explorer stopped working, no sites were reachable, MSN stopped working, Ventrilo and IRC too!! The ONLY program that worked was Steam. I have to restart my computer in order to fix it but then it will happen again after 20 minutes.
Now i installed Firefox and nothing has happend yet!!!!! Everything is fine for now, im just waiting for everything to collapse. Maybe firefox is my savior, people have told me its the best thing ever.
Anyway, thats my reason for not being here for a few days. Can someone explain to me wtf is happening? Is my router infected with some kind of virus or what? This is so strange!
