Virus help!

Hey, I just dled a demo for GTA 3 and I scanned it, it said that the file is infected with Win95.CIH.Gen and I have WinXP not Win95, would it infect me if I opened it?

First off, as far as I'm aware gta 3 has no demo available, so dont bother lying about your warez antics

Second. any virus is bad news, but it doesnt sound like that one will cause you any problems. Dont use kazaa for downloads, use e-mule...

Well i'd say if you don't know whether it will harm your system or not, don't take the chance. Delete it and scan your system. Simple as that

Its probably just a virus in a big file that people alled a demo.
