I went to get a Keygen for a program today, and downloaded one which also put 3 icons on my desktop for poker, and 2 otehr things i forget, also a voice started talking like an add but i reset my computer before i could hear it.

Now very often a i can hear a clicking noise (like when you double click a folder) And a message comes up

"Windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" etc... any ideas how to fix this or what it is?

Don't download viruses?
Grab NOD32 trial (anti-virus) and scan away. See if you get anything.

Sounds like spyware to me (the poker thing tipped me off). You might want to download and use Ad-Aware in addition to the antivirus. You can find the download here.

You should also not pirate software.

You should punish yourself and re install your OS.

Thanks for the help guys but i managed to find a suspicious folder in my programs folder and have deleted it from the registry which seems to have returned things to normal.
