Right now i have 6 and was considering upgrading to 2003. I was wondewring if anyone here knew if there were any major differences othe than support for .net I just don't want to waste a hundred bucks :p

C++ is a programming language. As far as to .NET for C++ there isn't much more, and probably not much reason to spend 100 for it.

On a plus side, there is a free beta of Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition, I don't remember the link anymore, but I am sure if you search microsoft.com you can find it.

I have Visual Studio .Net 2003 but I have not used it a lot. You can ask me questions but you could probably find out more from searching websites or forums. lol

I have not really used Visual C++ 6 either although I have used a version of C++ on a Mac which was much easier for commands than .Net. I believe it was using the GCC (Gnu Compiler Collection).
