They only take over presidential security; all the snipers you see on the roofs are GIGN. Last year when they shot the president, immediately you could see choppers coming dawn of roofs dropping snipers. Also there is always a group pf GIGN nearby ready to act in case of critical situation

Nop, the diference of SWAT and GIGN is that SWAT are happy triger cowboys, as you have seen, they even shoot hostages. Most of the time, GIGN does not kill, the shoot you on the arm or leg, they like to keep you alive for trial. But that depends, some day a crazy man took aver a school in France, when he fell asleep they freed the shcool, they could have arrested him, but the Murdered him.
Also maybe the older guys remember when some arabas took an Air France plane round 94, it took them 1 minute to free the plane, if you guys can find the video it's preety cool.

No it's not... The French Revolution was a reaction to the vast, perpetuated differences between the haves and have-nots, ie: the proles and the aristocracy. It was fuelled, in part, by Socialist ideals.Tr0n said:

The French Revolution is hardly what you could have called successful in terms freeing the individual. After King Louis was over thrown France took a turn for the worse, bringing about the "Reign of Terror". It was in this period that the streets of Paris "ran red with blood" and any questioning of France's "new administration" was met by a trip to the guillotine.
As far as Revolutions go, I would extend to call it a failure as far as what it did achieve against what it set out to achieve. Of course this "Reign of Terror" was only over a relatively short period of time.
