My first post here ever, even though I´ve been hovering around here reading for a few months. I was waiting for someone to create this thread all day but since noone has, I guess i´ll have to do it...

I´m quite prepared to believe this since it´s from vivendi, it just seems to me like they are calling the shots rather than Valve. Before the delay Vivendi actually said HL2 wasn´t going to be released in september right?

By the way, I´m surprised people here don´t check out IGN..? Is everybody living by the "It's cool to hate" mentality (Insider sucks!!1!! IGN should´ve just died instead!!!!) or what? IGN are really good at what they do IMHO.

Anyways, do you believe April is the month now?

I'm confused. All the other sites with the Vivendi list just have the releases for the year, period. Where did ign get one with the months?? That is news of some sort and I'm puzzled as to why the other sites don't have that April date on their list.

We'll see, I've played it more than once now.. I hadn''t seriously played it before last night.. past that, I played the demo about 4 times and enjoyed it each time

I was wondering this myself.. IGN is usally ontop of things, but, I don't really see how they could've gotten an accurate date for HL2.

Yeah ppl might be putting themselves up for another dissapointment if they say anything earlier than May, IMO... Ur definetly not gonna be dissapointet when thinking 2005! (hopfully!)

Someone said that the release date was from what a valveguy said back in octobre or something... check out the link in the first post, the list is from Vivendi.
I really hope Vivendi knows more than the average guy, atleast they should... :|

What is so unrealistic about the April? It's quite simple, when was the last time you saw some actual HL2 media? Meaning that the game isn't quite done yet. As for Vivendi, although HL2 will be publish under their level, they don't really know about the actual release date yet, only Valve does.

I'm more then certain then neither HL2, Doom3 nor STALKER will make any time soon, this game are way too complex and ambitious. Far Cry is the only game that i feel very optimist about as being released sooner then any of this previous titles.

I'd recomend to all of you who can't wait to play the game, to either get a girlfriend or take challange such as learning a computer programming language or something. As for myself, i should be getting my Sun workstation box soon, it shall keep me busy until HL2 is finally available.
