Anyway, this doesnt mean anything... it has no relevence to a HL2 release.

If all that is true, and it's about HL2, then the game starts going in boxes on Monday, would be my guess. hmn.

Or maybe I'm being optimistic again..

its being PREPARED to ship, not actually shipping soon. Yes, the interviews were yesterday and today but the drug screening alone can take several weeks so dont get your hopes up. But it does mean 1 more step closer to getting this thing out the door.

Hope leads to dissapointement
Dissapointment leads to anger
Anger leads to silly posts.

kthx.

What the heck does this have to do with HL2 - vivendi universal handle hundreds of media titles a month, not just one game, every company as large as VU hires people every month, stop making "GOOD SIGN" posts.

My company does drug screening and CBI in 3-5 business days.

Just an FYI.

I don't think it has anything to do with Hl2 people get hired every day for all you know it might be for another VU game.

You're dumb. Sorry to be so blunt but you are. Don't you realise that VUG has a number of huge gaming companies under their belt. The Beta of TRIBES vengeance is more a reason for staff than HL2.

You're grabbing at straws. Just leave it alone.

Yeah, I heard that too. I also heard that someone at VUG farted, they probably need the methane gas to produce the materials needed for the HL2 cd's. Don't say you got that from me though.

I fail to see the link here. Farfetched would be an understatement.

Right guys this is getting realy pathetic.

i can just see it now.

"OMGZ teh first 2 letters in the CS:S readme is teh G and teh T...

Goldz todayzorz!!!11111one11one111111!!2!¬1!!"

oh wait.... weve already had some guy saying the license plate on a car is some date in september in reverse.....

*note to self, stop entering threads that arent made by staff*

I'll laugh if VU really does need an extra production leader to handle hl2 packaging demands. I'm not saying I know they will, but you people don't know shit either. He's just pointing out a maybe. I hate it when people are so damn sure of themselves.

I personally think more than tribes or any other game VU has under its belt, Half-Life 2 is going to require the most attention.

valve please release this game soon so this idiocy can stop. please make it stop. ;(

I'll get back to you in 5 years :p

ya thats 5 more yrs for ppl to get dumber.

Yah 5 years of drinking, killing brain cells, hitting pinky toes on the sides of sharp things and getting paper cuts when you lick envelopes... fun fun. I'm looking forward to the next 5 years more and more. Hm..... imagine if HL2 got delayed until 2009. Actually no dont, that's too painful to think about...

ARGH.................. Vivendi please stop me going insane.

Whats hiring a production manager/leader got to do with hl2 shipping? HL2 will have already had a production manager with vivendi for a long time.

what are we aloud to post about, pretty much everythread has people saying that these threads should not exsit, surely this is a public forum and people can write what they want

That's true, up to a point. These forums, while publicly accessible are privately owned. The owner has set certain rules and guidelines within which you may post.

If they are hiring someone for HL2, i'm suprised that they trust a new person to a game worth so much to them!

i heard VU is still looking for a charwoman.
could that be the reason why hl2 hasn't gone gold yet?

How on earth does this mean that HL2 is ready to ship? And how will they ship it if they haven't even gone gold yet?

the thread is called "being prepared to ship" not "ready to ship", dont be so negative he is just trying to lighten our days by giving a gleam of hope that it is in fact still coming.

I'm tired of people giving me "hope" with lies, disinformation and crazy, far-fetched theories that are based on nothing.

Then you, my friend, are most definitely in the wrong place. :)

VIVENDI GETS STARRY-EYED WITH NEXUS

Publisher picks-up PC space strategy blast, which is now due to release next month. New screens inside

15:56 Vivendi has swooped to seal worldwide distribution rights to HD Interactive's tactical PC space game Nexus - The Jupiter Incident, instantly rewarding the title with an October 2004 release.
The once canned game, which was formerly known as Imperium Galactica III: Genesis when part of CDV's roster many moons ago, has been causing a few ripples of excitement on the PC circuit - largely due to its tasty visuals.

It is being developed by Hungary's Mithis Games, and is best described as a mission-based tactical space combat game, set sometime in the future.

HD Interactive will remain the publisher for the game, and has kindly supplied us with four new screens. Enjoy.

And now you've contributed.

Have you forgotten that Vivendi layed off a few hundred employees lately?
This means absolutely nothing related to HL2.
Don't get your hopes up.
