vortessence chanting?

ok I was just looking at the ep2 trailer and I saw something interesting.. just after the bit with the vort saying "this is more than anyone can bear... but we will persevere" the screen glows black for a second and you can hear vortigaunts chanting. it sounds like they're saying "love, love" or "llama, llama"

Put the subtitles on and play the episode one opening again. I'm pretty sure it's the same sound. Also probably the same as the vort conversation in sandtraps.

Makes you wonder what the All-Knowing Vortigaunt™ in Water Hazard was actualy doing.

For those of you who don't know there is a secret hidden Vortigaunt in the last map of Water Hazard. When you enter the room he is in he is chanting and roasting a headcrab. When you enter he stops and will talk to you if you use 'E'.

On a similar note, why is he the All-Knowing Vortigaunt™. He acts just like the other vortigaunts (except he coughs).

Oh no, he says different stuff than the other Vorts. Except the one who upgrades your vehicle. These two are the only All-Knowing-Vortigaunts in the game. Because they eat protein rich headcrabs the others eat bananas.

There are two different kinds of vortigaunts. The normal one and the all-knowing version. They both have different voices, except for that vehicle-upgrading vort - it spoke with a normal vort's voice and had lines from the all-knowing one.

The vortigaunt in odessa's basement gave me the same lines the all knowing one did. Same for the Water Hazard one which installed the pulse mg.

Is there a way to get to the all knowing vort without noclipping into the tunnel?

To get to the "all knowing vort" (which he really isnt) theres a tunnel with the gate pryed open (possibly by the vort) go in there and you'll see a long river of radioactive liquid. Make sure you have full health and your H.E.V suit is fully charged, (loads of ammo, medkits and batteries in the red barn) sprint through and keep jumpin while sprinting (youll get there quicker and take less damage from the radiation) Once you get there you can have a long conversation with him, break open the supply crates take what you need and run back outside

I know about the tunnel. It's just way up in the air, the only way I found ti get into the tunnel was by noclipping.

Use the air-boat as a ladder into the tunnel. Drive up, get out, jump on top of the boat and you should be able to reach the tunnel.

You can park your airboat, jump on it, then slip through the opening (I think), but then you'll probably have to god-mode through the radioactive waste (I did :/)

It sounds like this is a set of earlier recordings. Then it was decided to change how the voice sounds. And this set was randomly kept for this Vort to use.

Vorts chants all the time in vortessence and every Vort understands. Anyway they like to chant and make poems.

Yeah, you need to park your airboat near the tunnel, and hop on top of it to get in. If your health is high, you can just sprint though the radioactive waste and you'll still have some life left when you get in his room.

I think it's obvious they are chanting to save Alyxs life. The story would feel a little redundant, if she were to suddenly die from falling off a bridge.

But whether Alyx will have a side effect from being bought back to life through their chanting... I can't predict.
