Vortigaunt caused paradox in HL1

Hehe. Just thought this was really funny and silly. I was playing Half Life 1 just now and went Gordon puts the crystal in beam, you all know what happens.

Well at the part where like.. Vortigaunts fall from the ceiling and teleport before they land on the floor (play that part and you'll see, kinda hard to see)

one of them glitched for some reason and actually landed.. then it lightning shot me to death in the test chamber. I got a good laugh outta that one. Steam sure can be buggy.

That has happened to me in regular HL, without steam... Didn't die though. I ran out of that chamber as fast as I could, and made it.. then the scientist gave me a nice needle....

Happened to me in normal HL too

Wasn't on Steam, infact, I could make it do it again, if you pull the sample out of the thingy, while it's going on..

Ah.. that's exactly what I did. I pulled the tray out.

I guess the Vortigaunt lands on it while falling and misses the portal.

Anyway, he killed be before the doors even opened (before you teleport to Xen, etc, nothing was even destroyed yet.) I was kinda mad, but also laughing and I quit in disgust/laughter

It kind of ruined it.. because I was planning on seeing how long I could play without dying ;p

Bloody nearly pissed myself when it happened. This was like my third or fourth playthrough so I was like walking along like normal because I knew (or thought) there were no enemies around, then bam, I turn round and I'm face-to-face with the bastard! Legged it as fast as I could.

Didn't happen to me, but one Saturday afternoon after introducing HL to my father. I was watching football when suddenly "What The Hell" my father seemed to have found out. I took screenshots. If I find em I'll post em, I've got some funny camera angles
