good luck all who entered. Ispent ages on mine, i had to replay the whole first part of half life (which was actually really fun) to get the images, then i had to painstakingly cut them out....

hmmm.... who to vote for???

naaaw, im only joking. i dont care if i dont get any votes, ive entered about 6 art contsts and i hardly ever get any votes- im used to it!!!

the only time i actually got any votes was the one time i wanted to win, and i was really proud of my entry. it was this >>>http://members.lycos.co.uk/suicide42/hpbimg/grey gordon.JPG . the reason i wanted to win was becaus the contest was my idea, and mechagodzilla eventualy beat me by a vote or two

the most effot ive ever put into an art contest was the first one i did, which was teh design a box entry- which is http://members.lycos.co.uk/suicide42/hpbimg/hl3 BOX.JPG . i made the picture out of chalk on paper, then painted gordon and stuck him on. i then used digital art to put it onto a box and improve the image- and i got like 1 vote.

what i have learen is that people vote for how funny it looks rather than how much effort has been put into it. Now i just enter because i have spare time.

Whats the next art contest gonna be then? I think we should design a HL2 boss, or maybe do a contest where we make something real- out of cardboard and selotape, etc. that would be fun!

Whatever you guys want works for me. This contest has become somewhat of a more bi-weekly thing to allow more time for entries/judging because of the low turnout. This next one will start Monday, so get your ideas in now.

dammit I knew it I should've made one with gordon sucking some of those.

A little inquiry: why does nobody like my entry? Is it because the gman wears a golden necklace with to much "g" in it? Or is it gordons' shorts? Anyway, what's wrong with my entry?

ususally on these contests, its not how much effort has been put into the picture, it is whether it A) stands out and B) is funny. Do an amazing peice oif art, and even if it is the best, the funny one will allways win. try and think of it from the voters' perspective, what would HE vote for?? mind you, i dont actually do that, i just do the first thing that comes into my head
