well, i know its like 3 weeks overdue, but i got around to animating my avatar just about right after the site closed down. What do you think?

Alrighty, now with the forums back up, time for a new contest. Any ideas? The two main categories for the art contest are photo manipulation and original art for anyone who hasn't participated before.

(yes, I know this is true of many, but the ideal animated avatar should tell a story over and over without the viewer able to discern the beginning and end, in my opinion).

thats a very profound way of describing what a GIF should be... IMO, a gif is something that loops, or doesnt loop an animation. its like trying to describe what a painting should be- it depends on the intention. And its obvios that its looping anyway....
and it wouldnt make the filesize too big. tbh, you can just reduce the colours in the GIF to save space.

i have an idea for a new art contest. y dont we design our own alias? what i mean is, design who our name describes. so for me i would have to draw a character to bear the name Suicide42. i mean design a whole new look for what you would look like in MP games and stuff.

Hi everyone, it's been a while. Glad to see you're all doing ok.

Contest idea: HL characters caught redhanded. Make a picture of a HL character taken on an ackward moment for him.

I think this one could work.

I noticed my "the game who wasn't there" picture in the fan-art section is corrupt (it shows the same thumbnail again when you click on it).
